A director/editor with over 15 years of experience in film production, melding cinematic imagery with a critical ear for sound design and music.

Sound is integral to his work, and his rhythmic approach to editing is informed by his passion for music and his double life as a part-time DJ. With an emphasis on connecting with human emotions, he thrives on documenting slices of life and delving into human narratives that resonate deeply, leaving a lasting impact on the viewer.

As a Japanese person who was raised in Hong Kong, worked in Shanghai, and now resides in Europe, he is comfortable at the intersection of different cultures. Living and working in various countries has expanded his worldview and led him to Wieden + Kennedy in Shanghai and Amsterdam—offices known for being melting pots of culture. There, he cut his teeth as an editor, collaborating with some of the industry's top creatives, fostering a truly collaborative approach. Working across brands like Google, Montblanc, OnePlus, Woolmark, Nike, Corona, among others.

Additionally, he has pursued passion projects such as short films and documentaries. Furthermore, he runs a quarterly music event series called 'Portal' in Amsterdam, alongside holding a DJ residency at Bar Theo, one of the city's burgeoning listening bars.
